Dunmore, Pennsylvania
House cleaning in Dunmore.
Dunmore has its own borough government, its own school district and its own everything, and shares a street line with Scranton. Fourteen thousand people across nine square miles, from the flat near Roaring Brook up onto the Moosic Mountain slopes.
It was Bucktown, then Corners, before someone named it after Dunmore Park in the Falkirk area of Scotland. In 1847 there were four houses here; the Pennsylvania Coal Company turned it into a borough of 23,086 by 1940. It holds 14,042 today, with a median age of 42 — an older, settled place where a lot of people are living in the house they raised a family in.
That matters most on the hill side. The southeastern edge of Dunmore climbs the slopes of the Moosic Mountains, which in practice means short steep driveways, split-level and multi-storey layouts, and a real number of stairs between the front door and the rooms that need doing. We would rather know about the stairs before quoting than after, so mention them at intake — they do not change the price, but they do change how the visit is planned.
What we do in Dunmore
Same four services, same published prices, same laminated checklist as everywhere else we go.
Regular upkeep
Weekly, every two weeks or monthly on a slot we hold for you. The same cleaner every visit, so she learns your house instead of relearning it. No contract and no cancellation fee.
Deep cleans
Baseboards, inside the oven and fridge, grout, vents, sills and light fixtures. Always the first visit for a new Dunmore client — it's how we set an honest upkeep price.
Move-in and move-out
Empty-property cleaning for tenants chasing a deposit, owners handing over keys, and realtors prepping a listing. The photo set doubles as proof of condition.
Short-term rental turnovers
Fast, checklist-driven turnovers between guests, scheduled around your calendar. We don't no-show, which is most of what a host is actually buying.
Dunmore questions
How soon can you get to Dunmore?
Usually within the same week. Recurring slots are held in route blocks, so if you want a specific morning it's worth asking early — once a slot is taken it tends to stay taken.
Do I have to be home?
No, and most of our clients aren't. We agree one documented way in before the first visit and it doesn't change without your say-so. The before-and-after photo set lands the same day either way.
Is the price different because of where I live?
No. Dunmore pays the same published rate as every other town on our list. We group visits by route so drive time never lands on your invoice.
I am up on the hill side toward the Moosic Mountains. Do the stairs and the steep driveway change my price?
No. The price is set by bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage and how often we come — not by grade, stairs or how hard the parking is. Mention them anyway at intake. Stairs change how long the visit is planned for and where equipment gets staged, and a cleaner who knows about them in advance does a better job than one who finds out on arrival.
